AMTK 22 (Amtrak 7)
Title:  AMTK 22 (Amtrak 7)
Description:  At just over 5 hours behind schedule, the westbound Empire Builder races north into Grand Forks and kicks up a mini-blizzard on a snowy Saturday morning. Things have been rough on the Empire Builders the past few days with all the crazy weather between Seattle and Chicago; this one will meet its eastbound counterpart in Grand Forks...an extremely rare meet. In the spirit of historic integrity, I digitally removed a reflector sign on the left side of this image.

Empire Builder Meet
Title:  Empire Builder Meet
Description:  A very rare meet between the eastbound and westbound Empire Builders in Grand Forks. Also rare, BNSF 1010 leading the way. In almost 4 years of living in Grand Forks, this is the first time I've been able to catch this extremely rare daylight meet. How rare is it? AMTK 7 has to be >5 hours late and AMTK 8 has to be >10 hours late.
